Fair cost sharing across the community
AI scanning isn't free. The first scan of a post costs 30 credits; later viewers pay the scanner back — quickly at first, then a flat 1 credit each — and the early viewers who paid extra are refunded back down to 1 too, so everyone converges on about 1 credit per post.

How the cost-sharing works: The first scanner pays 30 credits to run the AI — they did the work and may have fixed up the result. To pay them back quickly, the next few viewers chip in a little extra — 15, then 7, then 3 credits — after which each new view is a flat 1 credit. As more people view, those early over-payers are refunded back down to 1 credit too, so on a popular post everyone ends up with about the same 1-credit share and any extra goes toward keeping the service online. Re-opening a post you've already viewed is free. Out of credits? Subscribe for a monthly top-up or grab a one-off credit pack.
